Flowers and Teignmouth

I am very lucky to have my closest friend living in Devon.  We try and meet up once year in addition to Yarndale in Skipton.

Luckily for me I am the proud owner of a campervan so it was lovely to take her out on some trips that are not so easy for her to get to due to not driving.

We both have a love of gardening, so on my first day I thought it would be lovely to visit a garden centre Otter Garden.  It was a lovely place with so many vibrant plants and summer bedding options.

I loved the big variety of such colourful painted pots that you can hang on a wall or fence.

After we finished at the garden centre we then headed to Teignmouth.  Living in a land-locked town at home I love to get to the sea as much as possible when I go away.

I loved this Echium such a tall plant, yet it had such delicate purple flowers.  Amazing against the perfect cloudless blue sky.

My first “sea” encounter for a little while and it will never disappoint.

When we finished walking along the beach I was told of a great view point and it did not disappoint.

The perfect place for a little spot of crotchet.

We came across a group of the sweetest Cockapoo dogs, such variety of colours.

Then as we headed back to the van we spotted this mobile sauna which is such a lovely idea if you've had a dip in the sea.

We had the added treat of having fish and chips on the promenade followed by some time just crafting enjoying the sound of the sea and people watching

The different type of sedement found within rocks just blows my mind and the patterns and colours are such a great source of inspiration.

These rocks were all from Teignmouth beach.

A great way to end the first day.

Lovely to see Teignmouth - I used to live in Dawlish, so I’m quite familiar with it, though it didn’t have a beach side sauna in the 1970’s!
