Truely Divine

I decided to go mad (some would say I already have!) and treated myself to the most divine/inspirational/creative book I have on my shelf.

The photography done by Alexis Xenakis.  Alexis has photographed a lovely selection of books within the knitting world which look divine.

This is the Diamonds and Triangles pattern.

This is and extract from the Double-bordered scarf.

The inspiration for this was dating back from 1850 the Victorian Ruby.

This stunning shawl was inspired by shawls dating back to the 1840's.

The book gives a look into the history of Victorian knitting from the 1830s to 1900s.  The charts are clear and the colour of the yarn used is breath taking.  The location for the book is all set in and around Britain from Cambridge to London and Brighton.

To say I shall enjoy just looking at this book is an understatement!!
