It is amazing weather for the end of September.

I can not believe it is 30 September and I am wearing shorts, tee shirts and sandals to work and the temperature is in the high 20's!

I had a look whilst doing the routine washing up at the garden and am currently loving the gorgeous flowers with vivid variety of colours, shapes and textures that I wanted to share and save them before the onset of autumn at some point and the frosts.

The colour is grey...

Yesterday was a lovely day trip out to Brean Sands near Burnham on Sea in Somerset.

We drove through torrential rain and I was thinking this is madness we will get absolutely soaked but to our complete joy when we got there the rain clouds passed and left it with a beautiful landscape.

I did a couple of close ups of the posts running down to the sea and the imprints left in the sand.

The dogs had a brilliant time and could not move when they got home!

Just before we left the sun came out and their was a lovely view over to Uphill near Weston Super Mare.

To finish the grey theme, I spent the last week knitting furiously knitting to complete a tank top for my son to wear on a school trip as a World War II evacuee.  I was very pleased with the outcome I think he fitted the part perfectly.

Home grown and home made.

Hi fellow blog friends and visitors. 

For me this weekend was about spending time with the family and getting out and finding some "naturally grown" produce that H could enjoy for his breakfast.

We found a beautiful location in Cheltenham and filled a tub full to the brim with lovely juicy blackberries.

Then when we got home it was time for yummy home made cakes of fairy cakes and rice crispies dipped in chocolate mmmmmm.

H brought home from school a letter relating to a trip he will be doing with school next Monday to Steam Museum in Swindon as this year they are studying World War II and he is required to dress in the appropriate clothing of the period. 

So I am doing my quickest ever knitting project of a tank top for him from an pattern I am adapting and P is making him a tie, which is so sweet bearing in mind she never knits!!

On another related note I am very excited as H's school for the first time is running an after school "knitting club"!! to say I was excited was an understatement and am very proud to be a volunteer which really looking forward too.
