September is here.

This is the first weekend in September,  what a difference in 24 hours of temperature!

Yesterday was the usual domestic jobs of housework in the morning,  but I do like to get out for a walk when I can even though it was cold and overcast all day.

So off I went with the four legged pals Indie and Willow.

On the walk I stopped off to photograph Indie in the lovely wildflowers that had been planted.

I do love the shades of purple in the flowers.

I also did a spot of tidying in the garden and trimmed my Lavender plant back and found a perfect use for my lovely cup I bought from Wells.

Today (being Sunday) we woke to glourious blue sky's with no clouds to be seen.

So I requested a dog walk to my favourite place in Cheltenham.

I always find something to photograph,  today was more close ups of the countryside and the browns and creams and of course blackberries.

We always take Mother in Laws dog called Poppy too. She is a very sweet dog that literally runs round and round your legs.

After the dog walk it was time to cycle off to my monthly meeting on my trusty bike with my aptly named yarn bag, to a Knit and Knatter meet.

It is held in a pub which on a Sunday gets very busy but is a nice venue.

For the remaining hours I am going to do a spot more knitting maybe in the garden.

Have you had a lovely weekend? What have you been up too?

The break is over.

Looking back on my blog my last entry was October, so a long break of 6 months!

A dear friend suggested I get back into blogging. I was unsure as I am a private person and wondered whether too.

So over the past week I have been going through the reading list of people I follow and really enjoy the ability to read and view image's.

I started this blog as a type of diary to be able to look back. I am definately not they tyle of person to do a "visual" blog and admire people who can sit in front of a camera and do that and I do so love to watch. So from the safety net of words and picture's I will share my love of photography, which is all done on my phone. My passion for knitting, my garden and what ever else I want to record for "safe keeping ".

So if you have a spare bit of time please do enjoy with me and let me know what you think.

I'm kicking off the blog with some of the trips I have had.

My first trip out was in Decmeber to my special place Slimbri…

Trip to Tewkesbury

This morning I woke to this poignant message having being sent to me by a good friend. I was unsure what to do with my day as I had no plans and the weather was set to be nice.
So I decided to heed the advice and set off to Tewkesbury.
On Friday I had treated myself to a nice new pair of walking shoes so this would be a great first outing for them.

Not even five minutes into my walk I spotted this beautiful Bluebells.

My first stop was a place called Lower Lode, Tewkesbury  you come down to the River Severn and the viewing point looks over to the 13th Century B&B/pup/campsite which was very popular today.

I decided to sit and people watch and listen to the bird's singing for 5 minutes whilst knitting a little of my new sock.

I then headed back the same way and walked across the park with the majestic Tewkesbury Abbey as the backdrop .

Here I sat for a little longer and listened to the bell ringing and watched as a coach load of visitors from Nottingham came to look around t…

Road to happiness photo session.

I live in the cotswold town of Cheltenham.  It is a very multi cultural town with some great area's for photography.

Today I decided to cycle along a route called the Honeybourne line which is an old disused railway line.

In 2017 #cheltenhampaintfestival create an amazing event that meant many area's were painted by incredible street artists.

One of who was done by Vanesa Long Champ an incredible artist based in London who has travelled widely.

Inspired hughly by Laine magazine I took photographs of my newly completed garment which I have called Road to Happiness.  One is a short sleeve top and the other is a love sleeve jumper.

The garment is a boxy style comprising of lace, cables and moss stitch. I love the garment so much I will be making another and am going to design socks, cowl and wrap to complete the design idea's.

Please do enjoy the picture's .
